Do you have the latest version of MyCorkboard? Click this button and we'll tell you.

I registered, but MyCorkboard still expired. What gives?
When you register on our web site you will receive a personal unlock key by email. You must type this key into the MyCorkboard software residing on your PC so it will know that you've registered with us online. If you don't complete this step, then MyCorkboard will expire after 10 days. Even then, you can still reactivate MyCorkboard by entering your key. There is no need to re-install MyCorkboard.
Registration Problems?
The 1.00.97 version of MyCorkboard posted 3/26/00 addresses a variety of registration issues. Please download the latest version using this link: corkb100.exe

You may also input your key by running the REGISTER.EXE program found in your MyCorkboard install directory.

How do I install the add-on modules?
To use any of the MyCorkboard add-on modules, you must first download the module, and then run the download file to have it find your MyCorkboard directory and install the required uncompressed components. Once an add-on is correctly installed, its content will appear in the MyCorkboard pop-up menus the next to you launch the software.
I downloaded an add-on, but don't see it. What's wrong?
Downloading an add-on is only the first step. You must also run the file to let it install itself. The easiest way to do this is the run the file immediately after downloading it if your browser offers you this option. Alternatively, should make a note of where you stored the file on your hard drive and run it by double-clicking on it within your file manager.
Where do add-ons show up?
Correctly-installed add-ons will show up in the right-click pop-up menu when using MyCorkboard. Most add-ons will be listed in the New submenu under an appropriate heading. Freshly-installed components are never directly pasted onto your current MyCorkboard screen because doing so would clutter up the layout that you no-doubt carefully arranged to your liking.
I didn't receive my key when I registered. What happened?
Our web server automatically sends your personal registration key by email within a few seconds after you register. Unless your ISP is having problems, you should receive this email within a few minutes. If you don't, it could be that you made a mistake when entering your address. One of the most common problems we have is with AOL customers blocking emails from other non-AOL customers. In any event, if you do not receive your key by email, you can obtain it right away simply by viewing your account information.
Why can't I install the premium add-ons?
MyCorkboard will not let you install premium add-ons unless you have a paid subscription to our web site. This subscription entitles you to the premium content. Subscribers receive a second personal key which informs MyCorkboard that you have a valid subscription and that you should be allowed to install any of our numerous premium add-ons.
How do I install MyCorkboard on multiple PCs?
If you have a PC at home and at work, you may install MyCorkboard on both machines. You only need to register once. Simply use the same registration key we provide by email when running the installer. In a corporate environment, please note that we ask that each user be signed up at our site.
Some of the objects on my screen are not animating as they should. Why not?
Once in a while we get reports of objects not animating. This is very rare and we don't yet have an explanation. We have found that sometimes changing video modes helps. If you have this problem, send us a bug report if you might be willing to test out a patch when such becomes available.
Why isn't MyCorkboard activating after the defined time-out period?
We have found that IE 5 created some compatibility issues that needed some attention. If you get the latest version of MyCorkboard this problem will usually go away. Download here.
Why doesn't MyCorkboard show up in my normal list of screen savers?
Although MyCorkboard is certainly a screen saver, it does not use the standard Windows SCR file format which is a requirement for showing in your desktop properties list of screen savers. MyCorkboard has its own activation settings which can be adjusted using one of the built-in property sheets.
Why doesn't the program accept my registration key?
The most usual reason why you have trouble here is that you may be entering your account name rather than your free registration key. Both of these codes are provided in the confirmation email we send out. Please be sure you are using the correct item.
Why can't I see other users on my LAN when sending pranks?
We implemented this feature using a networking technology that seems to have problems with reliability. We are reworking this area of the code and will release an update when it's ready.
Can I send longer notes over the LAN?
The short limit on the length of notes that can be sent between MyCorkboard users is due to a documented bug in Windows 95/98 within the network drivers. We plan to step around this problem in a future release of MyCorkboard, but for now, there isn't any quick fix.
When will new add-on modules be released?
We don't have a specific release schedule. You'll just have to keep watching the site. We also tend to send out newsletters whenever we release some of the better modules.
I've lost my free registration key. How to I get it back?
If you cannot find your key in the original email you received from us, you can see it by viewing your account profile.
How do I move MyCorkboard to a different PC or new hard drive?
You must run the standard download file to install MyCorkboard on a new PC or hard drive. You cannot simply copy the directories between machines because you will lose important information maintained in your registry. Be sure to have your free registration key handy when running the setup program. If you don't have it, you can see it by viewing your account profile.
Who do I call for support?
Unfortunately, we are unable to take phone calls regarding general software usage. Being a free product, we have over a million people using this software and it would create an enormous burden on us to provide general assistance by phone. If you have a problem which absolutely requires our attention, please write to us at support@mycorkboard.com and we will do our best to respond within a reasonable period of time. First priority will always be to users with paid subscriptions. If you've found a bug in our software or problem with our web site, please see our problem reporting page for contact information.
